- Can my order be gift-wrapped?
Yes. Gift-wrapping is available for an additional fee of $2.00 per item.
- Do you charge sales tax?
Yes. Orders delivered to California will be charged a local sales tax.
- Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order. However, in order to qualify for free shipping, your order needs to meet a minimum of $25 USD. Please refer to the shipping section below for restrictions.
- Do I have to create an account to buy from you?
Yes. An account is needed to purchase. An account will enable you to expedite future orders and to track your current order. The only information that we obtain from you is the following:- Your Name (First and Surname)
- Billing Address
- Ship-to Address(es)
- Current Phone Number
- Valid EmailAddress
- Can we track our order to see when it will arrive?
Yes. When we ship out your order, we will email you the tracking number, as well as a copy of your invoice. This invoice will have the correct shipping amount that was billed to your order, if any.
- Does Cook’s Books have a retail store?
Unfortunately at this time we do not have a “brick and mortar” store. We will have one in the future. When our store does open, besides selling cookbooks, we will offer a forum for recipe testing, tools needed to make recipes and a small café to taste how the recipes in the cookbooks should taste.
- Where can I go if I have questions on the techniques described in the cook books?
On staff at Cook’s Books are two classically trained chefs. You can email them with your question at recipehelp@CooksBooks.com. You should expect a response within 2-business days.
- Where can I find tools needed to complete some recipes?
This will be a feature that we will be adding in the future. Until then see the question above, regarding recipe help, for information on how to contact us.
Mailing list and a chance to win $100 from Cook's BooksOccasionally we will send out announcements about sales or website updates. If you would like to receive these, please enter your email address here Email Sign-up. Once you submit your email address you will be automatically entered for a chance to win $100 Cook's Books gift card. Drawings will be held monthly. Winners will be notified via email.
Shipping We offer free shipping for orders over $25 USD and in the continental United States. This offer is for USPS Media Mail and takes 7-10 business days from the shipping date. Each delivery address needs to meet the minimum for free delivery. If your order qualifies for the free delivery offer, when you select a shipping method the dollar value for USPS Media Mail, should show $0.00. Select that option.
All other orders including, but not limited to, orders under $25, delivery to Hawaii, Alaska or shipments for APO/AFO, will incur additional fees. At this time we do not offer express, overnight or international delivery.
ReturnsReturns for a FULL REFUND are available under the following circumstances: - Return is requested within 30 days of the original ship date, and
- Product(s) are in their new and unopened packaging.
Returns for EXCHANGE are available under the following circumstances: - An incorrect product was received due to an error on the part of Cook’s Books; and
- Exchange needs to be requested within 30 days of the original ship date; and
- Product(s) are new and unused, packaging either opened or unopened. Except for audio CDs or computer software. Audio CDs or computer software MUST be in their new and unopened packaging.
Returns for a PARTIAL REFUND are available under the following circumstances:- Return is requested within 30 days of the original ship date, and
- Product(s) are new and unused, but their packaging has been opened. This does not apply to audio CDs or computer software. See “No Returns” for more information.
OR - Return or exchange is requested after 30 days but less than 90 days of the original ship date, and
- Product(s) are new and unused, packaging either opened or unopened. This does not apply to audio CDs or computer software. See “No Returns” for more information.
NO RETURNS are available under the following circumstances:- Return or exchange is not requested, or
- Return or exchange is requested after 90 days of the original ship date, or
- Audio CDs or computer software packaging has been opened, regardless of the original ship date.
Method for returning:- Email us at returns@CooksBooks.com to request a return.
- Include the following information: Your name, order number, email address and reason for return.
- Wait for email return response from Cook’s Books. In the return email you will receive the return-to address as well as other important information.
- Once the email has been sent you will have ten (10) days to return the product(s).
- If the return is due to an error on the part of Cook’s Books, Cook’s Books will pay for the cost of shipping the product(s) to the return-to address listed in the email via UPS ground; otherwise
- You will be responsible to ship the package back to the return-to address mentioned in the email at YOUR COST.
- Packages received without prior authorization for return will be shipped back to the owner at their expense.
- Once Cook's Books has received the product(s), we will inspect the product(s) to ensure quality.
- A refund, whether full or partial, will be issued within five (5) business days via the same method of original payment.
- An email with a copy of the return/refund invoice will be sent back to you.
